The
new Audio Research REF3 is the state-of-the-art in preamps today. ARC designed the
REF3 to
accompany the new Reference T610, T210
and 110 amplifiers, but it will bring the
most from any other amp connected to it. Fully balanced and single
ended at each selection. It uses the 6H30 "Super Tubes"
as did the REF2 MK 2. It has a visual display
that reads volume, balance, phase, input selection, whether balance or
single ended, and even the tube use hours. This is
the finest preamp we have heard at our store or any where else. If you are building a reference audio system this is the preamp
of choice. |

The
Audio Research LS26 preamp
replaces the LS25 MK 2.
This unit takes technology from the
REF 3 preamp and gives it at lower
cost. It uses two 6H30 "super tubes" Has balanced and single ended
inputs for each function as the REF3. ARC
says it better than the REF2 MK 2 and after having it in the store I believe
them. It is $4000.00 less that the REF2 MK 2. Listen before buying a used
REF2 preamp. |

The
new LS17 preamp replace the LS16 MK
2 and uses the long life 6H30 "super tubes" as the REF3
and LS26. It offers balance and single end input/outputs as the more
expensive models but at a much lower cost.. The sound is very
similar to the LS25 MK 2, but better at a much lower cost. Offered in natural or black
face plates. I carry all of these preamps in the store and would be
glad to compare them for you. |

The
SP16 is one of ARC's
newer preamps and offers great tube performance at a much lower cost.
Comes in a line stage version and a
phono version. Though the SP16 is at a much lower price
range, it offers great performance that is found in more expensive
competitors. I carry all of these ARC preamps in stock so come in for
a "test drive." |

Audio Research
PH 7 Phono preamp ARC's newest phono preamp, replacing the Ref Phono
and it is better. The new PH 5 has a lot of the sound,
detail and presentation of the PH 7 and is quite a bit less than
the PH 7. Both offer remote control, cartridge loading from 100 ohms to 47K ohms,
mute, and adequate gain for lower output moving coil
cartridges. I carry both of these preamps and great hi-end turntables
to test them.
